Settling into Routine...

A week has gone by since that start of term... and slowly, but surely, I find myself settling into the routine ways of uni life... once again...

Almost got late getting to class... don't know where time flies in the morning...

The CS lecture... as interesting as the practicalities of the subject may be, the theory, as always, is amazingly boring... Had I not gotten out my laptop in the middle of class and started working on an assignment program, I would have surely gone to sleep...

Speaking of which, the assignment looks pretty creepy... though I think I have 2 of the 5 problems down... hope to complete and submit it all before Friday and leave the weekend open for non-academic activities... namely, sleeping, laundry and lazing about...

Since I have only one class on Tuesday... started working on the Calc assignment I mentioned yesterday... none of the Calc TAs were present in the Tutorial Centre, however, an Algebra tutor was kind enough to help... incidentally, he was the one who helped me through my Calc problems the previous term...

Had a haircut today... just can't stand long hair on myself... it starts becoming all wild... decided to visit a barber before I start resembling a certain friend of mine...

Now it's all nice and short... the way I like it...

Got home... worked some more... strangely, the online assignment has vanished... wonder how they'll fix it...

Found an interesting piece of news... apparently some people can sneeze bullets...

On the topic of news: I hope Sony doesn't forget about its "traditional DSLR" users in the process of innovation... sadly that is how I see it... Sony DSLR folks (don't know how many of my readers fall into this category...), see here...

That's all for today, I guess...

Leave comments... please :)

  1. I shared another more detailed interview on the sony's intended in-No-Way-tions via email. It seems the EVF has gotton deep into their brains as well as everywhere else. Indeed they are working on the A700 replacement but the high profile imaginative picture they are painting about it, the time they are taking in releasing this "Gem", and the EVF to top is up, is really frustrating a lot of Alpha prosumer class customers. Unless this supposedly supeiror EVF has a frame rate of 120 or higer with no lag and is as clear, brighter or better then the A900... I am honestly wondering about the future of the prosumer bracket of Alpha customers for sony. Anyway, for now, can't do much but wait and see.

BTW, "tradition" is one thing, Sony always likes to walk away from. Their history shows it... and they have pulled it off with their other electronic pretty well. What they do with Alpha is yet to be seen.

    Love,
    Aba

  2. Heard something strange today. Saw a Nikon D300S in action at 7fps... Mesmerizing... The Sony A55 (supposed 10fps) did not seem that fast... well, on to the strange thing... one of my photo buddies told me that Sony achieve the "10fps" by making a short video clip and then cutting it into 10... the way Sony works, could be anything...

Sony is apparently doing what they have been doing best... making great cameras and abandoning them... Seems to me that they are more interested in targeting new followers than maintaining old ones... a trend I can trace back to the F7xx series (and related models...)

  3. I am also studying in university and have quite a similar daily routine just like yours. Love to read your blog posts as they are readily similar to mine as well.
