My First Visit to Niagara!
Saturday, April 23, 2011...
Fine weather... had rained the previous day, but the sun had come out... Spring finally showed its face...
A great day, for a much-awaited visit to the Niagara Falls...
Niagara is approximately 90 minutes drive from Brampton... we set out at approximately 11am... stopped for coffee along the way... I'll let the pictures do the talking... after all "A picture is worth a thousand words".
The town adjacent to Niagara Falls is a complete tourist town...
Finally reached the sight I was waiting for... the Fall itself!
Missed Sir Faisal when posing for the above shot!
After taking in the external view of the Falls... we went up close... the Journey Behind the Falls... an adventure which took us approximately 38m below the upper surface of the waterfall... Right beside it, and behind it...
Even though we had almost 150ft of solid rock above us, it was still cold to the touch, due to the water...
After our excursion at the waterfall, we made our way to Niagara-on-the-Lake...
As dusk approached... we started to make our way back home... Stopped for a delicious barbeque dress along the way... Nan, Chicken Tikka, Lamb Chops and Bihari & Seekh Kababs... Yummm!
Overall, an excellent weekend... And a great outing... my first picnic in Canada! A totally fun-filled time...
Spent Sunday doing what I do best... lazing off and editing and compiling the photos... more of which can be found here...
Enjoy the photos!
Until next time...

After a long absence...
My last post started off with a statement of surprise on my part, lamenting on my long absence from my blog... Well... this time around, it has been an even longer disappearance... 54 days to be precise...
Simply put... was unable to make time for any interesting writings...
Life has been pretty hectic since my last post. The end of Reading Week brought about a surge in the course workload... And also brought along another wave of midterms... Thankfully, the second mids went slightly better than the first ones...
Apart from work, life was more or less pretty routine. Not much except for work, and a bit of fun along the way... Fun in the form of photography...
For those who haven't seen these before, similar shots can be found here and here.
Haven't forgotten about my "macro" project... just need to find the right time to execute it...
Did some cooking in some of the free time along the way... Experimented with tuna... came up with a pretty good "Spaghetti with Tuna in Pizza Sauce" recipe... Also messed around with tuna on its own... Don't know what to call whatever I made! By the way, mashed potatoes taste awesome with a bit of Peri Peri sauce, along with a bit of chopped garlic and green chilies, all mixed with the potatoes with milk, butter and cheese! Yummy!!!
April saw the culmination of classes at the uni... and the beginning of exams. Calc went pathetic, Algebra final was better than midterms, Econ was awesome as usual, CS was kinda okay, and Stats was a nightmare... Just glad it's all over for now...
Results started coming out last night... Thankfully passed in Calc (surprisingly), Algebra and Econ... along with the accursed PD1... still awaiting CS and Stats...
Got the ActSci Exam P manual recently... it's sooo damn thick! Trying to build up the courage to start on it!!
Still no luck with the job process... just hope to find something soon...
This was, more or less, the summary of life since the Reading Week. Term has ended. Some R&R now...
Don't promise any regular updates... but definitely hope to not be absent for such a long time again...
Until next time...
Good Night (or Morning, depending on wherever in the world you may be!)
